Privacy Policy
In effect from the date of publication · raumschach.org
The International Raumschach Federation website at raumschach.org is a static collection of HTML files served directly to the browsers of visitors. It contains no server-side scripts, no database, no login system, no shopping cart, no comment system, and no user accounts of any kind. There is no mechanism by which this website could collect, store, or process personal data about its visitors, because no such mechanism exists in its design.
The game client (raumschach.html) runs entirely within the browser of the visitor, as a self-contained JavaScript application. No game data, no move history, and no session information is transmitted to any server. Everything that occurs during a game session remains locally on the device of the visitor and is discarded when the browser tab is closed.
This website sets no cookies. No tracking cookies, no session cookies, no preference cookies, no cookies of any kind are placed on a device of the visitor by raumschach.org. Visitors may confirm this by inspecting the development tools of their browser while on any page of this site.
This website uses no analytics software, no tracking pixels, no fingerprinting, and no third-party scripts of any kind. Pages are served as plain HTML with no embedded scripts from external providers. There is no Google Analytics, no Cloudflare web analytics, no social media tracking, and no advertisement network.
Like all websites, raumschach.org is hosted on physical or virtual servers operated by a hosting provider. Standard web server software maintains access logs, which typically record the IP address of each request, the date and time of the request, the URL requested, the HTTP status code returned, and the referrer and user-agent strings supplied by the browser of the visitor. These logs are generated automatically by the server infrastructure and are not reviewed, analysed, or retained by the IRF for any purpose beyond routine operational maintenance.
The IRF does not purchase, licence, or otherwise obtain these logs from its hosting provider for any analytical or commercial purpose, and does not cross-reference them with any other data source.
The IRF conducts all its external communications — tournament registration, game score submission, membership correspondence, and general enquiries — by email to the address published on the Charter page. When you send an email to the IRF custodian, you are doing so directly and voluntarily. The contents of that email, including your name and email address, are received and read by the custodian in the ordinary course of correspondence.
Email correspondence received by the IRF is used solely for the purpose for which it was sent. Game scores submitted for rating are published in the Results register as described in the Charter; by submitting a game score, both players consent to its publication. No other correspondence is published or shared without the explicit consent of the sender.
Pages on this website may contain links to external sites. When you follow a link to an an external site, you leave raumschach.org entirely. The IRF has no control over and accepts no responsibility for the privacy practices or content of any external site. This policy applies only to raumschach.org.
This website is open to visitors of all ages. Because it collects no personal data, there is no special risk to minors from visiting or using it. The IRF does not knowingly solicit information from or communicate directly with children without parental involvement.
Should the technical nature of this website change in a way that affects the accuracy of this policy, the policy will be updated accordingly and the date in the header revised. Given the deliberately simple and static architecture of this site, no such changes are anticipated.
Questions regarding this privacy policy or requests concerning any personal data held in connection with IRF correspondence may be directed to the IRF custodian at the email address published on the Charter page.
